Congratulations on your success! I'm deciding on doing something similar. Can someone help me out?

Danny is magic submitter the only SEO tool you use? cheers

I use

Scrapebox / Ultimate Demon / Doc Marketing Robot / Spinnerchief / Captcha Sniper / HMA

I also have Pinterest Bot - not used yet -- and a few other things that I don't use for this project - stuff like UBot / MVB / Uber Blog Creator / Animoto Subscription

All these things were bought with money made from IM.

There are alternatives and if your on a budget do what I did when I started - do it manually - it does work. Set Up Some Google Alerts for your keywords and go drop links if you can.

Cheers

(I honestly don't think you can be successful in the long run without scrapebox - alot of tools need fresh sites all the time - so if you buy anything buy that first - then a submission software)

Basically I have pretty much torn most things apart and completing redoing alot of things as wasn't happy with some but hoping to have 50-60 quality sites operational in 2-3 weeks.... ready for XMAS

Danny, after your experiments you talked about a few pages back have you transitioned mostly from WP to Magento? What's the platform ratio you plan on building these 50-60. What's easier/quicker to get up and running?

Well right now I have 13 Magento Sites and 8 WP Sites (newly redesigned)

WP I know works - Magento it still is not clear that the sites rank as well as a properly configured WP Site.

The difference is one is a professional Store Front compared to a Blogging Platform. However you can see what I am doing here - I am building something that is going to survive any number of Google Updates - with lots of diversity in niches / products so my income is steady throughout the year. When you have 1-5 sites then obviously your not going to be consistent.

It's going to be 50-50 WP / Magento for new sites for me. (for now)

WP - is faster as I can make those myself - Magento I have someone make for me and it takes longer.

I believe in Magento but Sales now are 95% WP -- 5% Magento

(keeping in mind the Magento are roughly a week old)

Thanks for the reply. Another q, what is your anchor text % diversity? E.g. what % of your links are your EXACT anchor kw? I am under the impression to keep it below 30%...

Hi Danny, what is your average ctr at amazon? I have 6.04% which I'm not too crazy about..

my comment on your question is this : if your focusing on one keyword your probably going to fail - I target multiple long-tail buying keywords so I stand a better chance to get a sale -- I spin them all and I submit through every submission process I can.

So the bottom line is I would never come close to 20-30% at any time on any one keyword.

Thanks mate, I have studied LBrown Tutorial for Amazon Sites and i will try to combine both tips

I have looked at roughly 20 people's site's and they ask me to tell them why they are not selling anything.

The most common problems are these

1. no description and no keywords on the site
2. using base WP install blogs - that look horrible and are not organized properly
3. little to no content -- typically just a product photo and a link

I think most people should look at the sites in the thread and see how some people are organizing their sites.

Finally -- maybe think about this -- if you are completely lost with no idea how to make this work -- why don't you simply
make a Store Type Site and don't even try to Seo it.

Just use facebook / twitter / youtube / pinterest to send people to your site -- and when you make some money then pay someone to make you proper sites for the long term.

good luck

I have read through this forum and it gives some really good tips. Thanks Danny!

I have been doing Adsense (using bigger authority sites) for quite some time now, however since Adsense doesn't seem to have a problem with banning anyone, I want to start doing some Amazon stuff in order hedge myself in case Adsense goes down.

I have one site that I launched in July in the electronics niche that seems to be doing pretty well. July ended with about $120 in income, and August is looking to be around $400-$450. The idea was to create really good quality reviews that really outline the pros and cons of a product. I now have about 20 reviews (with a couple of buyer's guide articles to help out). Each review is between 1000 and 1500 words, which allows the pages to rank really well on the long tail terms. I'm on the 2nd page for my major homepage keyword, but my major focus has been driving links and traffic to each of the product review pages.

To launch, I wrote a couple of reviews myself, but since then have turned to outsourcing and pay about $10 per review. For link building, I've been doing everything out there...from blog, web 2.0, articles, pyramids etc. I've found that the more links from your review into Amazon, the better, but in natural places (not stuffed).

Another thing I also found useful was to use Event tracking on all of my Amazon links. That way, with Google Analytics, I can track at which point of entry people are using to get to Amazon, and on which products. If they used the link on the image, buy it now button, reviews link, or other text links, it makes things really useful in helping me decide how to reorganize product pages. I also use this tracking (and look at products sold) to determine which products need to be pushed with more links. Some products have higher conversions than others, and being able to target these individually has worked out very well.

It is still early, but i'd like to get to the point where I've got around 5 authority sites each pulling in around $1000+ per month with about 100 reviews each. Currently I'm only getting about 100 UV daily traffic. If I could just double this, I'd be at my goal for just this one site.

congratulations :), so happy for you bro, you know, your topic pushed me to start my website right now!! I have just wasting time from about a week+ thinking about details, but after your topic I decide to start and see I may success on 2 or 3 months

well done on your journey - I definately don't track things like you because when I started I had an "Autoblog" mentality but it definately is something that I need to control more.

also alot of times you say to yourself - well I make $300 with 3 sites with 6 I'll make $600 but the reality is that doesn't always happen - because your rankings change / niches go hot and cold and products rise and fall --- so that's why personally I am expanding to cover all bases.

really there is good information in this thread and other threads in BHW on Amazon -- but you have to write the main things down - then implement them -- and then work on your Seo --- this is not easy it takes work.

So if that's not for you - then follow my idea of making a simple store and forgetting Seo and just using Social Networks ... good luck today !

Been getting alot of Spam PM's from people trying to sell me site creation - don't bother I will just report you direct to Mods - if I want to buy something I will buy it from a BST Thread....... advice : don't buy anything from anyone on BHW that doesn't have a BST Thread.

Hey,

Bought WP Robot with the Amazon Plugin. Works amazing! Just testing it on a dummy site at minute.

One question:

- Is it better to have the standard 'BUY NOW FROM AMAZON' button or should I change it using photoshop to 'MORE INFO...' - I see BUY NOW as too final and people may be reluctant to click it, but a MORE INFO button seems to be more enticing... what do you think?

I am adding a lot of articles written by myself, most 1000+ words long and my site is ranking for about 5 kws (on second and third pages at minute - one kw having 18k searches a month and its a buying kw!). Do you recommend any BST services? YeeHa SEO looks great...

Use another button if it all possible.

As for recommending BST Seo Services - it's hard to say as it depends what you have done already

if I was starting over - I would be looking for article / press release / web 2.0 / bookmarking / PDF and Social Signal type services
After a little while then I would look at .edu and .gov links

In this time - I would be looking for people who are doing this manually - and not a bot - as using a bot they don't really care too much its all about volume for them.

Don't go overboard on new sites - you will kill them otherwise.

Excellent.

Im back for more info! :)

I am going to set up my products in a page called CATALOGUE.

I really dont want google crawling this so have set up a robots txt file which looks like this:

User-Agent: * Disallow: Disallow: /catalogue/

Is this ok to keep google out of this directory and every page that may go into it? e.g. catalogue/red-widgets

yes, because there are numerous local Amazon stores around the world. Amazon UK, Amazon Spain, Amazon Germany etc...
