Amazon: Open in new window/tab or not?

To expand a little: I really want to sell multiple books since multiple books are necessary for the target group to do well in my niche. For this reason, I sometiems wonder if I should not have them navigate away from my page but I also worry about tabs or popup blockers and I know some browsers are not tab-able.

I recommend setting your Amazon links to open in a new window.
Pros:
1. It'll keep them on your site longer, increasing your bounce rate.
2. It'll keep them on your site longer, increasing the chance of more than one sale.

Not sure, but aren`t some pop up blocker block sites that open in new windows?
From a user interface perspective, I've always been told it's better to have links open in the same window. The reasons are that everyone knows how to use the back button, and that the decision to open in a new window should be left down to the user.

I'm not sure it would block an Amazon pop-up, as those are almost always deliberately opened.
I have Google Chrome and it blocks the BHW Private Message if I try to open it in a new window, but when I click an Amazon link on my site, it comes up every time.
Of course, this shouldn't be taken as universal fact, I'm just telling you how it appears to work with my pop-up blocker (Chrome).
