One recommendation I would make is to include a video version of your buying guide, even if it's just a voice-over while watching you go through the motions of looking through some of these charts you've mentioned. This is because a good percentage of viewers will lose interest in your page rather quickly, having a video there is unlikely to distract those who want to read on and really only helps you retain those who don't. Additionally, you'll pick up some traffic from Youtube if you choose to host there (and you should).

Just thought I would give an update I have done week 3 but I am going to be holding off with the week 4 onwards until the site settles in the ranking.
The site for the main keywords I am targeting is jumping around 15-40 once I see the site settle for a couple of weeks I will start the link building what I put above.
No sales from the site also
Just a note I started a site a week later than this site and this is already making sales nothing major but to see sales so early with a site is always great. This site also may have missed the boat here in the UK for this year but I am hoping to pick up a couple of sales along the way and next year smash it when I will be hopefully in big G's number 1 spot for lots of helpful keywords. All the keywords I am targeting have yahoo answer in the top 2-3 so I am hoping to easily rank them but this will be the same pan backlinking will be slow.
