Hello,

About 3 weeks ago I found out about Amazon Merch, and even if I already knew (and said I'm going to try) a few other services like this, Amazon managed to give me the boost to actually start doing stuff.

I've got an Amazon Merch account (took me less than 7 days to get it) and I uploaded 1 t-shirt for now and doing the research for the next 5 at least.

I'm a graphic designer with experience so for the start is going to be easy with the design part.

What I've done quite a lot of research and found some interesting stuff about Merch but I still got to work on it.

Next steps:
  1. Already working on a list with the Amazon Merch like sites
  2. Actually finding the niche I wanna go (got an idea, but is kind of used)
  3. Create and develop the social media accounts for further boost in sales
  4. Create more designs

I am looking forward to get a stable 500$/month by the end of December 2018, but trying to get the most in the next 2 months (because I'm also working at a Self Development House Project which is really cool and helps me (and the people I'm living with) through challenges and make my life better).

Every advice is appreciated. Thank you.

Good luck man, I finally got my merch account recently after around 9 months but I’ve yet to start. Research putting me off. I design too so il have a head start like you

I am just intrigued that how did you get a merch about in 7 days? People here waited for 7-9 months to get into one.
Even I got my merch acc after 6 months even if I got 200,000+ followers on social media which I submitted as proofs.
How were you able to achieve it?

Also, I'm getting into merch too. I am done with my designs and will be getting them listed this week. Is there anything you would like to warn newbies at merch?

I'm almost positive I registered 10 months ago and haven't heard anything. I'm started to doubt that my registration actually went through. I never received an email conformation saying I was placed in queue or anything.

If you sign in to the account again it will say whether it’s been received and you’re waiting or not :)

Honestly I don't know how I got accepted so fast and I was expecting to be at leats 1 month. I had about 1.5k spent on Amazon in the past 6 months, maybe that helped.

For the newbies, do your research, chose your niche, be careful about plocoes (I got an Idea for Presedents Day that was rejected due hate even if I got it from researcing others)

I wanna try merchinformer (it was the first recommendation I heard before being accepted) but I'm working on multiple projects and don't wanna waste the trial period.

You really want to get from Tier 10 to 100 asap.

The quickest way is to use some form of promotion - either find a niche and target a chat forum/Facebook Group or go down the route of paid advertising (Amazon PPC). Another option is to contact companies and ask them if they want a t-shirt designed etc.

Make sure you use TESS. So many people end up losing their accounts by not checking trademarks. It takes 5 mins, it saves your account.

Don't focus on making decent money until you are in Tier 500.

MerchInformer is a great tool - I would highly recommend it once you're in Tier 100.

Thank you very much. This is actually the stuff I am looking for, because it's pretty easy for me to do research on information but tips&tricks are the way to go.

I got in after 3 days I also added my Teespring storefront and I don’t know if this made it faster but I think I just got lucky
