Hi BHW. I've registered on amazon affiliates program and i have a quick question if anyone can help me. I have about 50 clicks in last 3 days but no commission made so far. Do i have to wait the products to be shipped (about 3-10 days) and then my Advertising Fees will appear ? (Of course ...If any orders were made) . Thank you

You get your commission when the item is shipped. Plus you`ll have to wait same month+60 days to get paid (depending the payment options you set).

Cheers

Confirmation of the item being shipped is when it should appear in your earnings.

Hi techwarn,

In your amazon account, you can check if you made any sale. It's shown in the order reports. You can see you there is any order there. You see no commission probably b/c you made no sales.
If you make some sales it will show up there and when it's shipped your advertising fees will be credited to you account.

when a order placed through your affiliate ads/links the comission fee is calculated and added to your account at the end of the day. and you will be paid by check/EFT after two months.

Not really. You may get sales but 0 commission too. There are list of items where you get 0 commission when the sales are done.

Cheers

Thank you guys from your quick replies. All is $0 on my account, so nothing i guess :). But it is ok. I am optimist about it.

Yea, maybe that can be his case too.

All clicks made from "Buy Now" Button :(

"Buy now" doesn`t mean anything. For Amazon there are only two options - visitor adds item to cart or will be redirected to product related page (or any other page). I personally never suggest "add to cart" option. And for OP i really suggest to make your site to HIGH CTR to Amazon. This means don`t use Amazon banners, don`t use ecommerce theme (unless you know how to make it convert), use contextual links, make images linkable to Amazon, use right colors to make it convert, use right words to make it convert and many many more things. Tweak your page if it already has traffic. You can set heatmap plugins to see where most visitors click. Also there are "blackhat" ways to make money with Amazon but it`s too complicated to explain.

Cheers

Thank you for your suggestions. I have a tech blog and most of my amazon clicks are from product review page. Anyway, it is still soon, i have only a few days with amazon. Thanks a lot again.

With electronic items you get only 4% commission and max 25 per item (tvs, computers...) so i suggest you to look some other niches too. PS: Women always like to buy things from Amazon (a lot of items even aren`t niche related) ;)

Amazon stats update a few days late. Check the date range of the report.
