Amazon affiliate purchases per click?

Hey there guys,

I am pretty new to affiliate marketing with amazon and I was just wondering what your guys's average buys/click are? I am working on steadily growing the content on my site as well as generating more clicks. I have ~50 clicks but not any purchases yet. About how many clicks do you think i'll need to see before I start seeing any profits? Do different products tend to have higher % of buys?

Any tips appreciated.

Advertise on BHW
specially no one can answer you will get conversion on this much and that much estimated click you can look their cr rate.
But to have a conversion you must have pretty cool promotional method and must have affiliate marketing knowledge.

If you are promoting amazon products then try to hire someone who is expert on setting campaign on bing any give a try because bing is altime best promotional method for me on amazon products.

Thank you for the reply. I will look into promoting on bing.
 
Theres no clear answer here. There are so many factors in this. You'll need to A/B test this if you actually want to make this a business. 95% of people that try this give up, the 5% keep pushing and make it. You have to put in work. It's not easy, but it will pay off if you continue.
 
u need to download the report to c the UV, clicks for 50 can be just one guy.

around 3-5% in average.

Thanks for the info, I know about A/B testing etc. I was more so asking if you guys would share your % of buys/click

Everyone else posting advice such as "don't give up" "split testing" etc, I appreciate it but that's not answering the question at all..
 
I too am interested in this. Thanks for the heads up on the Bing advertising for Amazon Aff links. I'm just looking for a quality expired domain at the moment and then am launching my money site with just one 301 redirects on it. Gunna try to get all social accounts rolling and also full ad campaign. Anyone looking for a partner to discuss strategies bounce ideas and just general SEO/BHW chat feel free to give me a shout. :)
 
I am getting 16% conversion rates but it might be off since I only have 100 purchases. So with my rates, you should've gotten a sale with those 50 clicks.

I'm definitely not setting my expectations THAT high but it's definitely good to see what others are getting :)
 
The conversion rate depends on a few factors like:

Ad placement, Targeted traffic, price of item and sales copy.

For this month I have a 9.6 conversion rate with only 62 clicks and only 6 items ordered.
All of this items are in the 8% category making it a bit tougher sell but then once a sold and shipped the commision is worthwhile.

Best advice is to do AB testing to get a higher clickthrough and conversion rate.

All depends on your keywords. If u have traffic from "selling keywords" - you get more % of buys.
 
It's hard to throw out an exact number over here. Back in the days, I owned a kindle site that had a conversion of nearly 5 percent.

Also, owned another coupon amazon site that converted less than 2 percent.
