I run some seasonal websites and used to get a lot of Amazon sales during holidays. But this year, after seeing a lot of sales, they somehow all got reversed by the time the payments were calculated. I saw posts on X by Halloween costume sellers that people bought from them and then returned it after Halloween. I am guessing something like this must have happened.

Then I did not even receive my check after a couple of months of it being sent (non U.S address). So after my complaint they have now reissued the check and deducted $30 apparently.

At this rate, it doesn’t seem worth it to direct all my traffic to Amazon products . This is disappointing because I run a network of Lifestyle websites and Amazon is a one-stop-shop for everything.

Dealing with reversals and delayed payments can be really discouraging, especially when Amazon is a major part of your traffic strategy. Have you thought about diversifying your affiliate links to other platforms, or maybe finding ways to mitigate these issues with Amazon?

Good to know I am not alone here. No, I never thought of raising the issue of reversals with anyone. I thought they surely know what they are doing.

A long time ago, I used to use Shareasale etc. But they constantly had vendors leaving and my links to their products would be rendered inactive. Plus, managing so many different vendors was tiresome.

I wish Amazon would continue to be as profitable as it used to be.
