Hi,

I've never done anything with Amazon before, so I want to try it. Do the Amazon Affiliate links still ruin SERP ranks?

This would probably just be a single post on a blog with the ref link. It might be fun to see what I get, but I wouldn't want to ruin my site for this.
Anyone have recent experiences with this type of monetisation? Should I do it?

Amazon affiliate links has never ruined SEO. It's actually the opposite, if you know you know.

Did they ever ruin SEO? I don't think so.

But always mark your affiliate links as nofollow or sponsored to be on the safer side.

Affiliate links don't ruin your SEO.
But because you are new to this, here is something you should keep in mind:

When building an affiliate site, distribute the content quantity 50/50 between affiliate posts and informational posts. It's what Google is preferring + it also builds topical authority for your site in that niche.

Start with writing content on zero to low competition informational keywords then when all the info posts have been published, move on to the affiliate keywords (best-of keywords, review-type keywords).

Focus on writing about 100-150 articles for informational keywords + 100-150 articles for affiliate keywords.

Once content has been done, build links!

Thanks for the replies. I'm fairly certain that Amazon aff. links did ruin SEO for a long time.
That's why I didn't get into it before now. But if there's no issue then I'll get on with it! Thanks all

"Do They Still Ruin SEO?"

Since when ?

Just adding one link in one article will not ruin SEO. But sites which have only affiliate articles were punished in the recent update.
