Im yet to try this with my own spinning objects on screen. Like this might not actually be an optical illusion. Im going to create a spinning 3D letter or something and see if i can change its direction.
Then if that works, something really freaky would be is if you do this with a coin or something spinning on a string and then you try to get your brain to view it spinning the other way, and then something even more freaky would be is if you know its spinning say clockwise and then you get your brain to spin it anti-clockwise but you stick your finger out at it, expecting it to hit your finger from one side, but it actually hits from the other side, the side of which your brain is not actually seeing the coin hitting that side of your finger.
Now that would be fucking freaky.... but im yet to test this out tho.
