AMAZING! Know Which Side of Your Brain is Working!

Im yet to try this with my own spinning objects on screen. Like this might not actually be an optical illusion. Im going to create a spinning 3D letter or something and see if i can change its direction.

Then if that works, something really freaky would be is if you do this with a coin or something spinning on a string and then you try to get your brain to view it spinning the other way, and then something even more freaky would be is if you know its spinning say clockwise and then you get your brain to spin it anti-clockwise but you stick your finger out at it, expecting it to hit your finger from one side, but it actually hits from the other side, the side of which your brain is not actually seeing the coin hitting that side of your finger.

Now that would be fucking freaky.... but im yet to test this out tho.

she is moving both sites after 1 and half minutes or something like that see care fully to her head and u can get that if u see the body u cant understand when she start anti clock wise lol !

can you not do this when your drunk? ive been staring at irt for 30 minutes and its been moving the same way....i still dont know why im watching it..its kinda addictive

What this animation does not involve is different sides of the brain, as the initial post claims. What you see is purely due to your perceptual and cognitive flexibility

I don't know if my statement is correct, but isn't it that the sides of the brain doesn't work simultaneously? Is it either the left brain is working or the other way around but not both? So in case this statement is true, then the rotation of the image does somewhat relies on which side of the brain is currently working.

Any psychologist here at BHW to verify my claim? :D

How can I download this video to my computer? I want to use it for my kids.

Its not a movie, its a GIF file, just like a normal image, but this one is animated, only GIF files are animated.

Just right click on it and go save picture as, and save it somewhere on your PC

Its a fraud.

the imgae turns right for 1 minute and left for 1 minute and again right.

its a gif.

i took and tried to edit.. this is what happens.

DONOT get fooled.

all info are fake.. no research.. nothing..

actually, that's what i thought too....but i can make the picture turn any time now....weird...

i can almost get it to stop when i want to also

what's really really weird, is that when i see the images, i see them synchronous....so they're both either spinning clockwise or counter clockwise...

but, my husband sees them not in sync....ie, one's spinning clockwise, the other counter clockwise...

weird

Taken from NewScientist.com

"What seems to be happening is that the two-dimensional image does not contain enough three-dimensional information to tell the brain which way she is spinning. So your brain helpfully fills this in, as brains do in many optical illusions. Only, in this case the brain can do it one of two ways.

How about the stopping? Well, perception of time is pretty subjective, and our experience of inertia is that when things make a 180-degree change in direction, they have to slow and stop first.

What this animation does not involve is different sides of the brain, as the initial post claims. What you see is purely due to your perceptual and cognitive flexibility."

Oni3350,

Do you mind telling me how to make it play like for 2 min.

lol its not a movie!!!

you can watch and make it spin for as long as you like!

Its a rotating image that keeps on looping over and over.

If you have already saved it to your PC just double click on it and it should be displayed on your computer, just like its displaying here on BHW

yeah I can make them do that as well.. either both spinning in the same direction or make each of them spin differently... it's hard thou...

Here is the one I did that can also be seen moving both ways

I don't believe seeing it move both ways is evidence of high IQ. Mine is 111 and I still can see it both ways. anyone can see it moving 2 ways it's just only a matter of time.

Exactly... I have found it :)

SO we have the top IQ.

And the poster also :) Coz fooled lot of people.

Really good illusions are there but not this one.

Its amazing how the brain works. You see her spin one way then all the sudden she freezes for a second and she is going the other way. Freaking awesome.

Initially i saw it counterclockwise and I didn't think there would be a way to reverse it. But just as I told myself to reverse, it did and now i can even see her as a pendulum at my command.

Really amazing. Another reminder not to judge other people as they may simply see things different from us.

LOL@ that guy that said it's a fraud. I can make it change at will.

@OP: as pointed out, there's no way 14% of the population (let alone US) has an IQ of over 160.

It was clockwise at first then after reading about changing directions it became counter clockwise. Then I could change the directions after a few seconds thinking about it.

I don't think this makes me a genius but at least it shows that I could either use the left or right part of my brain.

Its not actually there and your not reading this post its actually a subliminal message planted in your brain by a new form of advanced blackhat cookie stuffers who struck as you left redtube ;)

FACT, It is actually to do with your right and left side of your brain battling for dominance. As humens we dont tend to have to use both sides of our brains in tandem often so most will initially see a clockwise motion. If your slightly more intuiative however subconciously your brain will question the direction and your other side will then take dominance. Its all about perception and the ability for your brain to make informed decisions not based on what it thinks but more importantly what it doesnt think.

The Iq thing isn't exactly true although if you thought it was on a timed loop after staring at it for 5 mins you probably are a abit dumb and if after people on the forum telling u it was actually perception and you still disagreed your iq is probably around the level of a golden retriever.

Here's another similar test to confuzle you and question the power of your mind...

With your right foot move it in a circular motion. Now with your right hand try and draw a six in the air using your index finger...... See what happens ;)

Great way to brake the ice with a chick and a good excuse to grab her leg and help her balance but giving the impression your carrying out a very important neurological experiment and not trying to grab a cheeky feel ;)
