    Hi guys,

I guess this is probably my third post. I'm brand new here. I don't know how I even stumbled upon BHW - but i'm completely addicted to it (I'm typing from work as I speak).
I'm a pretty crappy writer so I will try my best here and try and keep it organized and concise. This journey is going to go on many tangents lol. I warned you.

    A little background:
I launched my business/website in 2010. I design and sell t-shirts online. I'm currently working in a bank in Toronto, Canada and trying to get the hell out of here. I wonder if my employer can read this lol alt-tab is my best friend. I met my partner at the bank and we both said screw that. He actually quit and was probably ballsier than me. I tend to be a little more "safe" and I also pay a mortgage lol. He lives with his parents.

So where to start - when I was in university I was listening to a ton of music as most people do - and listened to a lot of electronica. I dont' know why but I felt some "passion" and went and created my own shirt with a tagline on the back. Needless to say a got a few people saying "hey man, nice shirt" - by a few. I mean literally a few. But it sparked my curiosity. Nobody compliments my shirts.

So anyway- fast forward post college and I'm working in the banking system and meet my partner who had already been the "entrepreneurial" type. We were talking about work and said let's do something about it. So he quit and I worked on our project on the side.

We hired some guys my partner knew and they put up the most ghetto website for like 2k. When I think back i'm pretty sure it was like a wordpress theme cause the dude kept saying stuff about plugins but we were TOTAL noobs so we were like ok.

Our IM strategy??? LOL - we posted 1 banner on a online radio/music site within the edm niche. It was actually technically profitable. It cost us 250/m and we probably sold 1 shirt a day on avg to break even. For us that was good enough at the time. After a month of operations we decided the site looked like garbage and decided to upgrade .

We found another dude. This guy was the nicest guy and basically did it for free for us. The catch - IT TOOK 2 YEARS. Yes 2 years we waited. Stuff just kept happening. I would lie if I didn't think of scraping the whole idea. But then in 2013 we re-booted.

What did we change - Well, the site looks good now. Still not mobile. Using Magento. My partner has learned to basically code himself during this time as well which is pretty impressive.

So you're saying. "YO WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH BHW MAN?" Hold on bro - I'll tell you.

So right now on avg we probably bring in 50-100 visitors a day. Real low. Sometimes 1k - very rare. Those 1k days we had great designs on the homepage and made some reddit posts. Reddit posts seem to get instant traction if it's good enough and those fat users don't downgrade you with their infinite post rules. Anyway - more on that later. So we booted up all the fb,twitter, insta,g+,tumbler networks and we have a low following and visits. I've been manually pinning/friending etc on my phone at work with obvious irrelevant results.

    ENTER BHW

What I have read here is blowing my mind. I've downloaded scrapebox and already got backlinks to my competitors. Pretty sweet. I have to say as a newbie though, There is so much to learn. Sometimes I think i'll just outsource my seo then I read stuff about getting banned/copied etc and hesitate. I'm in it for the long haul and willing to put in some work. I truly believe that the key to increasing traffic and success into my site/life lies within this forum.

So from a newbie t-shirt seller with 100 uniques per day. Here I go....

    Good luck on your journey!

I'd suggest you set up some good tracking and split test website layouts. That way of your x amount of visitors per day you will get a lot more orders and cash out of them.

Be careful with SEO, don't burn your site with shady links.

Thanks. I use analytics and webmasters to track right now. Any other suggestions for tracking?
    Thanks man.

Maybe you should take a look at some of the successful stores and see what they are doing to bring traffic.

    Ya, I've been doing that.
I've learned they all pretty much use affiliates. I just wonder if they built their social networks all organically/whitehat or went blackhat.
