Am i cursed because i don't have degree?

Justin Bieber doesn't have a degree, yet somehow turned a few youtube videos of himself into a viral career making millions of dollars getting millions of girls to fantasize about having sex with him. So really, sometimes, a degree is not needed.
 
Not to mention that no degree = no sex, because you definitely need a degree to figure out what goes where

You just have to understand the time you spend in college going to class, commuting, working to afford school/living, homework, studying and so on NOW needs to replaced with experience and educating yourself in your specific interests. Coming from someone with a degree or two and with large circles of people with degrees, I can say that nothing is to be gained these days in an institution that you cant do yourself in half the time. Even the appealing idea of fraternities is churning out nothing but BRODUDES these days that end up crashing and burning their own personal lives.

We are all sold on the idea of college and obtaining degrees since we started grade school. In favor of having a school agenda, I could see how influencing kids to take their own path would be a disaster for school and parents who have also been brainwashed by this major education system. At the end of the day, you have to understand schools are for the majority, there to train you to be an employee, not an employer!

Trust me, you educate yourself well enough you will eventually notice the reason why people are so attracted to an educated person originally, its up to you to emulate that aura that an educated person gives off with your own personal custom twist of self-education and you have a true key to success. Do you really need to know the history of European Folklore? How about Community Health? If you consider yourself unique, you will realize these are all fluff that have no depth to it.

Good luck and take it as it comes, but do it with your head screwed on!

I agree with this.

I think unless the field you are pursuing absolutely requires it (like medical field) you would be better off not trying to get a degree. I have some friends that have degrees, and all they got was more debt. They've applied to places like target, and can't even get an interview.

You get a degree to get a good job, but as long as you're working for someone else, you've already limited yourself financially. You can never make more then the guy you are working for.

You have a talent with IM. It is something I do not think can be mastered in school. Methods and techniques are constantly changing, and a school environment can't keep up with it. So in my humble opinion the knowledge you have is priceless.
 
You don't have a degree but you do 6 to 7 figures with IM right? Just go and register a company with a nice name, let your IM business run through it and tell your relatives "I'm an enterpreneur". That's as cool as saying "I'm a lawyer or doctor", especially when you tell them how much you make per month.

Why do you even care about the others seriously you are a grown up you live your own life! If you are making 6figures with IM you achieved far more than most of people, business degree or not the only one you should care about is yourself! Stop thinking about others, think about you and have no shame about the choices you made otherwise I predict a sad sad life for you my friend.

If your self esteem is dependent on what others think, then you are truly cursed.

After about the second year of college, you are taught what you cannot do rather than what you can do. In this light, not having a college degree is a blessing if you are working for yourself. However, if you choose to work for others, then you could be cursed by not having college paper. If you are a programmer, it depends on whom you work for and whether you have a body of work that you can display.

However, if you are very good at what you do, then no one really cares whether you are papered or not.

In either case, when working for others a degree only gets you past HR and there are many other ways of getting past HR.

AND: In all cases you create your own prison.

As long as I can live a good life and provide for my family, I don't really care what others think of me. A degree in my eyes is nothing but a piece of paper. Unless you want to be a Doctor or something like that where you need a degree of some sort, then it's not needed to be successful.
 
People have a mindset that degree gives you some kind of eligibility. Main purpose of getting a degree is to gain knowledge! Most people nowadays are just studying whatever promises a good career and not pursue after what they like to do. So if you are already earning 6-7 figures then you're lucky to have that option to choose to study whatever you like! I'm sure that degree will prove helpful in future. As for your concern what people think about you, Let me tell you they won't stop judging & criticizing even if you get a double PHD.

P.S. you are not cursed unless you were marked on your forehead by Voldemort. Even if you are, Don't worry Harry took care of him. (Lame :P)
 
You're 'cursed' if you DO have a degree.

All I see is people losing their jobs, day in - day out. What's a degree when you can't use it any longer because a system is showing failures? Nothing. Just start to make your own money, take advantage of the dumb people in the world.
 
A piece of paper on my wall hung nicely in a frame never made me one cent. Making 6-7 figures online
means you are making way over the normal college grad is making years after finishing University.

And if you want to do it for you then sign up to an online university. However only do it for you and
not someone's opinion!
