I am currently looking for alternatives to googles keyword planner tool!

Is there any good tool (can be both, free or paid) that offers a good analysis of keywords for google?
I am kinda new to SEO!

What do I have to look out for, what keywords are normally easy to rank? How long would it take for an "easy keyword" to see the results??
Also: When building backlinks, should I just do it manually or buy a service on BHW? Are there any risks to it (getting banned?)?

    Thanks guys!

Whew these are quite a bunch, thanks guys. Will go through them!
I have another question though - where do you guys get the backlinks from? Do you just buy them here on BHW?

I want to rank for a few easy keywords (I got an excel sheet already that has the difficulty in it, the backlinks and the PRs of the average ranked sites on google). Should I just buy a bunch of backlinks PBNs or whatever to get my site ranked?

How long does that take normally to see the results? Can someone elaborate wiht an example please? Lets say the first site on the ranking has 10k backliks and is PR 1.

SEMRush is the best for you. Nice data and competition score as well.

But I read so blogs. Majestic data is fastest cache. I don't know exactly. But SEMRush is the best.

Big G is giving me access to the keyword planner tool, but I do have an active adwords campaign that I'm optimizing to some degree. Just used it today to get some local traffic search volume for one of my niches. However, the campaign I'm running has been paused for 8 days now and I probably won't start it up again until JAN 2017.

    Thank you so much guys!
Assuming that I have been using one of those tools to find me some niceee keywords that are easy to rank.

How would I be going about getting the backlinks?

You can use keyword analysis tools, you can find several on the marketplace, many have free trial. There is not a fixed guideline on how to rank any single keyword, check competition and try slowly outranking them with better quality content and backlinks.

Yeah Semrush plays a major role for finding keywords.
And you have try some social networks to get backlinks for your sites and you might also try directory sites and wiki sites.
And you have to concentrate on both the ON page and OFF page methods and give only quality content to get good rankings.
And get quality backlinks instead of quantity.

So you guys use SEMrush mostly, nice!
About backlinks you either buy them from here or look up the competitors backlinks and basically steal them?

You can use Ahrefs, is a SEO backlink checker and competitor research tools. It will allow you to track keywords, brand and your competitors keyword too. And also try SEMrush, you can track up to 500 keywords over five campaigns.

Well it is because I cannot use it. I think you have to have active adwords campaigns in order to use the google keyword tool lol

And regarding the others that posted: Thanks guys!

So just duplicating the backlinks of the competitor is basically the way to go right?
