My website crashed by the way.... I'm hosting it with HostGator, how long will it take to get it running again?

What did hostgator support (they are terrible by the way) say?

I myself would honestly wait for adsense to approve of your site and continue to add more content. Also get your social media presence built up.

Nothing (yet), but the site is back up! Seems like it was a temporarily crash.

Thanks, will do that. My domain is literally 2 days old, is there any chance AdSense will approve it in the near future?

I agree here. I ran away from hostgator a couple years ago due to my sites going down several times and what I thought to be a ridiculous node limit.
Hmmmmm, I went with them because a lot of people are very positive about them. Any recommendations for future hosting? If I manage to keep pulling this kind of traffic, I'll have to move from hosting provider pretty quickly.

Also, one question:
As I'm running a news website, what kind of social media accounts are recommended to have? Seems like IG won't help me, so just FB, Twitter, Reddit?

Edit: seems like my website crashed again.

Edit2: active users on site dropped from 400 to 200 because of the crash....

Whether or not they will approve you in the near future, I'm not sure as it has been many years since I applied for one and as I read from other experiences, the time seems to vary greatly.
But while you keep adding content and building a natural social presence, I doubt you'll have a hard time getting in and it'll be well worth the wait.

Look for a host in the marketplace. I host about 8 of my sites with various hosts found in the marketplace. I have had literally zero problems.

Thanks, I'll take a look. My cPanel states now "22 / 25 processes", can anyone explain what this means?

I'm getting this message now if I try to load my site: 500: Internal Error - this website is unavailable at the moment.

I expect to get this kind of traffic for the coming days so I'll have to move quickly from hosting provider I think. Will HostGator take contact with me at any time because of the traffic I'm getting?

I have been using hostwinds for a few months now after having too much downtime at arvixe and hostgator and haven't had any problems there so far on a VPS.

As for which social sites to focus more on, I've found it best to start out diverse and overtime you'll see which traffic sources or social media are best for your business.

Thanks for the advice!

If I were you bro, I would contact hostgator right now asking them to explain to me exactly what is wrong.

My site is hosted with HostGator, do you mean them? Also, should I just ask why my website is down or ...? It's been a couple of minutes now.

Yes sorry, I meant hostgator.
I would tell them that you are noticing your websites going down from time to time and would like to simply know why.
If it's managed hosting, they should be able to tell or help you with pretty much anything you ask about.

Alright thanks for the help, will do that.

It's back up again after about 15 minutes, but I'm afraid not for long.... My post is gonna hit the frontpage of Reddit soon, it's getting really close, so I expect the worst in the coming hours.

All the potential $$$ I'm missing now... it makes me feel sad lmao
