ALOT Confusion about hostings

so, guys, i need to host a website, but i don't know abc of hosting and terms like cpanel, pdesk or what ever and how to do hosting.. anyone tell me in layman's language first. please in-depth knowledge needed.

Go with cPanel as its easy to use. Most of the hosts will have a knowledgebase where you'll find answers to set up your site's.
