Almost reached $10k on Fiverr

Can you also sell social media services there?

No you can't, Fiverr doesn't allow them.

I mean, you can sell social media services in terms of management. Post on your social pages, manage your social pages, etc.

But you can't sell likes/followers straight up, no.

Inspired by @Negi Ji 's post about his earnings, I'm going to speak about mine. By the way do visit his thread, lots of good advice inside!

I was a long-time lurker of BHW so I have learned many things from this place: Marketing tactics, problem solving, found lots of motivation and made a few good friends.

A big Thank You for the BHW community that helped me in my journey to earn a living online.

A few key things regarding making money with Fiverr:

  1. Fiverr being a place of cheap and quick jobs (or buyers looking for the same) is a myth. You can land on projects that last one or more months and deal with respectful buyers (that may also tip extra money).
  2. Responding in time and being professional at all times, regardless of how the first messages seems to look, can go a long way in getting unexpected opportunities.
  3. Keeping your clients updated daily is something that will keep them assured they're in good hands, even if your progress isn't going too well at some point, just send a quick message you're working at it (and then do your best to complete it).
  4. There's a lot of opportunities inside, if you take the time to spy/research what others are doing, their gig details, reviews received/given.
  5. I was having pretty much zero knowledge in the niche when I started, but I did two things: First, having the initiative to post the gig (and not trying to perfect the offer while keeping in a vicious loop of never posting it), and second, started to get implied and learn about it so I can deliver my best on it.
I won't specify my niche, but I will try to respond about anything else regarding Fiverr.

Honestly just by following these guidelines you are already setting yourself apart from 90% of the sellers here. Most of them have no clue of customer support and how to deal with them. It's really sad but it's also a very good opportunity for you to grow and differentiate yourself. People could easily buy from other vendors but by you offering something they can't you'll definitely see success.

I've had plenty of cases where I looking to buy services from Fiverr and the sellers were super pushy and very sneaky in their approach. I could feel the hunger in their responses. Me personally I really don't like that and it's a good indicator to stay away from these types of sellers.

hello sir, does this means that high ticket gigs on fiverr would do pretty well even with competition?

Congrats on you success mate.
how good where yours skills in the niche before you created a gig and getting customers.

Congratulations brother, best of luck for more to come!

Really happy to see your success. Do you open service in another frelance website?
Tried on upwork but didn't really got along with their system.

True. When a customer comes to you it needs something done. Top priority as a seller is to be interested in delivering the best for their money.
First, you need to understand the details of what they need to accomplish, so you can know if you're able to help or not.
Second, you try to offer a good deal for both, and a reasonable delivery time.
I've had clients go with me just because they could see in my messages two main things: 1. I knew what I was doing; 2. I asked key questions about their project details.

You can always set yourself apart with a quality (or at least decent) offering. Also keeping a good communication should be a must.
How long have you been working there?
My account is older but did that gig for 6-7 months.
how long on you on fivver
See above message.
Congrats on you success mate.

Thank you! I did something similar more than 20 years ago, it was something I just needed to hone again and took me around 2 weeks to get used to it and adapt for today's needs. (digital design).

One pro tip for anyone trying to offer some service on Fiverr, regardless of niche: practice beats talent. So go ahead and study about the niche, find inspiration online, practice a lot and then you can offer your service. You'll get better as you keep going.

Wow

According to research, it is said that fiverr is saturated for newbies, breaking even is a very huge task.

Everyone has to start from somewhere, I was a newbie too on the platform. As you got sales and reviews things can get easier.

well i also wanna give it a try to fiverr, so i also created account in it. But after some times i get to know that i have no knowledge of anything and i didn't what to exactly sell things.
Even if find some things that i can sell (removing bg, retouching images) there were already too much competition in doing the same things. so i never got any success but every now and then i see many people who do this and also some create a totally new niche like there was some dude who first creating custom ios icons and selling and now it is just blown up!
