All Reddit links gone NF UGC

You probably already know this but all Reddit post links have gone nofollow ugc, no matter how upvoted they are.

UGC = user generated content

I see several sites who were dependent on Reddit links down 90% organic traffic.

It's been interesting watching how relevant Reddit links were for these sites. Large sites got tons of their authority from Reddit. These links were way underestimated for years. Now they're gone.

E.g. CNN, with 16k votes on a post gets NF'd + UGC

There has been some chatter about them being NF - now, since you brought it up, Mr Conspiracy Guy, I'll have to do a little work to see.

That's a short term benefit though.

They used to be good for passive juice.

Really? I think they're still valuable because of returned visitors and useful articles.

Not because MacDonalds decided to give up fast food and only sell soft drinks will the business collapses in its entirety including Mac deliveries.

The majority of sellers aren't selling Do-Follow links like these, they're selling sidebar and menu links.

At the rate and quality some sellers are producing here, I doubt it will take any longer than 2-3 months

Of course there are more methods but those are trade secrets

All post links. They used to be direct DF links to posts with a few upvotes

As others pointed out, only sidebar links now remain DF.

If your sites depend on Reddit links, this is probably the time to build powerful backlinks from other sources. Thanks to those $10 spammy sidebar backlinks lol.

I hope that if it happens, sidebar backlinks would only become NF on subs with a small number of subscribers.
