All Musicians out there...

So I am sure there are at least some people here making music and uploading it to the streaming services. Let's brainstorm how we can get ourselves out there. How do you manage to monetize your music? (I know all the streaming services have royalties, but it's almost nothing for the new artists, who don't have millions of streams, you feel me?)

Even with a big IG account, I find it hard to convert them to Spotify/Apple music/any other streaming service listeners. Thoughts/ideas?

Soundcloud is one of the ways that the musicians I know upload music. YouTube music label accounts are another way that musicians get outreach. They let youtubers upload their music and (i'm guessing) make ad revenue from the songs.

For example: Funky Panda uploads electro swing music and is quite popular, so whoever gets their song uploaded must be getting paid a decent amount from the views. Then if someone like Monster Cat were to upload the same song they too would get the ad revenue sent to the main artist.

Don't take my word for it 100%. This is just something I learned from observing these channels.

I could see upcoming artists just letting these people upload songs for free for the exposure

Yeah I was thinking more of manipulating the system aka building a spotify bot or something like that
