All about backlinks

I may not have posted much here, but I have been around for awhile and all I can say is that anything Harro has posted I have earned $$$ from, so you should appreciate what this guy has to say.

for link exchange use indexguy.com they wil give you a page that need to upload on your server ex. links.php where are the links to other site. Enter metatags nofollow noindex to it and google will not crawl it.

extractor , the list looks great. but there are tools to do the job of submitting to directories and article marketing sites. I think in the business of making money one needs to look more at automating things.. that save u time. :)

Also I do agree that google isn't valueing backlinks like they have in the past. That hurts me also as an adsense publisher I try to build a lot of sites and interlink them along with some of the other linking methods mentioned here. But I have found it difficult to keep updateing the sites and they tend to loose ranking after a while. Someone suggested the CARP script but don't know much about it.
Would be kewl to explain that a little or start a new thread on keeping sites updated and fresh.thanks

BTW, on DP some dude selling PPI guide speak badly about you on PPI forum.. ( just let you know )... i know cos i bought his f'king guide.. and it's not good at all.
 
I have learned more on this little black and gold site than I've learned with all the expensive junk (and I do mean junk) the goodie gurus sold me. I have to remember to come here every day and get smarter. Brilliant. I think I'm gonna put a stickie note on my credit card that says "Stop now and log onto BHW" :)

Crap, it's so easy to forget there are a ton of ways to get backlinks. I may need to schedule a few days just to explore a lot of this stuff in here. Not only is it legal but it is just smart to do.

I was recently discouraged as a topic/niche I am doing will not allow articles to be distributed as the topic/niche is just misunderstood and not illegal or bad.

It gets frustrating for someone who does everything right. Some of these links want money - and my question would be how do you determine which sites are worth a paid link?

I clicked the thank you, but it's just not enough sometimes.;)
 
Agree with twinkletoes! HaRRo, the methods you've posted on here have gotten me off my duff and actually making some money, which is why I came here in the first place. You rock! Have you written any books on IM?? That's something I'd actually pay for! :)

Do you get more backlinks from xrumer registration or from xrumer posts?

Anyone use xrume?

I use xrumer and make my own program to check my backlink from yahoo. I got a surprising result of what backlinking work. However, I need other xrumer users to state their opinion first so I don't bias their opinion.
 
You could narrow done your .edu backlinks by keyword also, for instance use this code in google search

site:.edu inurl:blog ?comment? -?you must be logged in? -?posting closed? -?comment closed? ?keyword?

Then where it says keyword type in a keyword from the site your promoting. You'll get fewer results but almost all will provide keyword targeted .edu backlinks.

For instance say you were targeting the keyword tennis. Your search code would look like this.

site:.edu inurl:blog ?comment? -?you must be logged in? -?posting closed? -?comment closed? ?tennis?

I've used this alot to get some fast edu backlinks.

Correct you can also use these search terms for programs that spam like automated blog commenters or searching edu forums with xrumer etc..
 
I have learnt a lot on this forum than anywhere else. Very very useful info on backlinks

I've been using the site:.com for a while now - read this post a while back. That is a great tool to find places to comment or even high PR sites to request links from. Great post, thanks!
