So what are the best ways?

Are .edu links that much powerful in 2019? I've heard that they've lost the power they once have because everybody started chasing them.

What's your experience with this?

Backlinks are websites that link to YOUR website.

So, they are good for your website as long as the websites that link to your website are of a good quality.

Think about it this way. Links from other sources act as a recommendation.

A link, IN GOOGLE'S EYES, is like someone recommends your website and says: "hey, this website is cool, I recommend it and this is why I link to it because I think it is valuable.
