This is a great sharing tips for me...Thank you so much. No, it's time for me to get more backlinks for my sites :D

Great post, even for people in the "know" of backlinks. To the above post "backlinks are not weighed as heavily anymore." I don't find that to be true. Think about it, the bots would have to know how to seperate good content that is useful, from other content that is not. That is a lot harder to detect and easier to spam than links are. I do SEO and still believe "link popularity is the single most important factor is SE rankings on Google. Not so much for Y and Live, but still probably the most important factor.
Also you do NOT need 1k backlinks to get good rankings, it is better to have 100 true quality links than 1k spammy links with no relevancy. Relevancy is key, more so than pagerank or anything else.
THANKS AGAIN for a great post

.
Hi, thanks for your post. What about if I have 1000 no relevancy links and 100 good links? The 1000 spam links influence the powerful links?

Seems to me like the majority consensus of this forum are always yelling about the backlinks. From what I understand though, on-page SEO is just as important, if not even more important than just a bunch of backlinks. Having 1000 quality articles that are unique, fully SEO optimized with WP Easy SEO, Platinum SEO, and other WP-powered methods, fully XHTML compliant, EMD domain, all behind a fast loading web server makes your very site an "authority" site in Google's eyes. I would assume that there is something in G's algo that balances things out between a 1000-page on-site SEO optimized site vs. a 5-page spammy site that has a crapload of spun articles submitted to article directories, SB comment blasts, and xrumer profile links creating 10k backlinks. If I were Google, I would go with the authority site hands down, in ranking the SERPs because the content is king...

Now, how the hell does Wikipedia always show up in like 95% of search results? Is it because Wikipedia has a shitload of backlinks? No, I don't think so...

Now of course if you have the mega content authority site AND a shitload of backlinks than congratulations - you've achieved pwnage. :D

Thanks for 1000+ backlinks site.
working 90% sites. thats great

I now have thousands of backlink .edu and .gov url's

This reply is a big late, but better late than ever.

You don't think a few hundred million backlinks helps Wikipedia significantly outpace their competitors? Really? Certainly, Big G takes the quality of the links into account, but surely all that juice has to be doing a ton for Wikipedia. There are a lot of sites out there with a ton of original content on them, but they don't have the backlinks Wikipedia has. Yet, despite the fact that Wikipedia is not an expert on a particular topic, but rather is a generalist site, it ranks highly for topic after topic, usually ahead of the other large content sites. In fact, it's amazing how often Wikipedia outpaces a large content site that actually focuses on a particular topic.

Also, while Wikipedia on-page optimization is pretty good, it's hindered on this score by the fact that it has thousands of contributors, none of whom pay the slightest attention to on-page optimization. Yet, it still does very well.

I'm not saying that on-page optimization isn't important. I'm saying that I think you are underestimating the importance of backlinks and overestimating the importance of on-page optimization.

You could try scrapebox or xrumer , if that doesn't work make a custom bot using zennoposter ;)
