Aliexpress dropshipping worth it?

Yes it is normal, you shoud keep testing and go for better ads. Also try woocommerce its totally worth it and better. With shopify you only gonna lose money with apps etc.
Also aliexpress dropshipping is so worth it. You can sell a $1 item for $10

Can you give more insight on why woocommerce.is better.Please.
thinking they both will need apps adding.but would appreciate your input on best way of trialing woocommerce.
thanks

way cheaper and better costumization, things that shopify prevents you to do can cause a huge dropout, it a big list, if you know programming then go for it

offtopic: woocommerce is better but harder because:
security is your and your issue only
you have to install a buttload of plugins which may or may not work some even collide with one another f*cking your sh*t up
you have to install your own themes
but on the other hand you have 100% full control of your store. you can customize every little inch and you don't really have to know programing because it's not that difficult and google is your friend. plus whatever plugin you have on etsy there's a free or cracked version or even a paid but way cheaper version for woo.

I'd go with woo for a stable store but shopify is quite perfect for testing out but once you found your niche and product go to woo ASAP!

thanks for replies.will look into woocommerce some more.

It's very worth it. If you have the right niche, design and the website is optimized for conversions then it's easy money. If you have the time and money to put into getting your site that way, then you'll be off to a good start. If you do not, you'll spend a lot trying to outsource or figuring it out on your own. Either way, drop shipping is a very good way to make money online easily.

As far I know Aliexpress is the best biggest source of product for dropshipping and most of the dropshippers are making money. So I think it worth.

Ok, let’s take this thing further.
Drop shipping is good, but the main turn off point for customers is the delivery time.
Last year, some of you might have followed my journeys, I had several shops however after couple of months I shut them down.

People complain about delivery (20-40 days) and while the item is in transit start asking for refunds already... this is a high risk for the dropshippers.

A strategy that might work is, once you identify the product that sells well and your site and marketing convert well. Then switch to woocommerce and order 1-2 months worth of products and deliver it to the fulfillment warehouse. Do not go with Amazon as those c*nts will eventually ban everyone. Develop your store and your brand without relying on anyone.

This way you will be successful as you control the product / delivery times and distribution channel (site).

Good luck ladies and gents! Hope this helps.

Someone mentioned that Holidays is the best season for dropshipping. I think it's the opposite. The delivery time is essential, and most deliveries are delayed during the seasons. So, the December must be a month off unless your store has in stock. If has, then you could charge a bit extra.

The point of dropshipping is that it's a passive income. Managing the supply chain is not passive, and the discount for a bulk order is barely enough to offset the extra costs involved.

If you don't mind making it a part-time job, it can be more profitable when running only one store, but it's much harder to scale compared to multiple automated drop-shipping stores.

I shut down both stores due to charge backs and "where's my product" emails that I got 5 times a day. Everyone is spoiled with 2 day Amazon Prime.

Only those that cannot afford Prime will come to your site. The extra cost of advertising and building a great site dilute any profits you will make.

Totally agree. Holidays is worst for dropshipping, because they will complain that products were presents and did not arrive on time.

Still possible to scale up. Hire couple of VA’s at $400/months each and this part is also automated. After lengthy training one VA will monitor stock, do basic sales forecasting and let you know when to order more stock. The other VA will handle customer service.

Now this excellent comment about Amz delivery times brings us to the main point. Dropshipping from AMZ to eBay or through your site. I believe this business model is sustainable if planned carefully (I.e. identify the product with good price difference for arbitraging between the platforms).

There are several articles and methods on the BHW about this method, so anyone can read it.

Even so, it defeats the purpose of "passive income", at least until the sales are steady and VAs are trained.

I think different. If the product is good enough, marketing is ideal and you know how to describe the product in order to make the customer love it, the shipping times won’t matter for them. If you’re dropshipping large items like furniture then yes, shipping time is a problem. But for a bracelet I don’t find 2-4 weeks to be something to worry about.

You just have to be doing something different from the rest, Find a New product no one has sold yet and market it in a way that will make even you want to buy it.

Same goes for any product, the best thing to do is order the product yourself and test it. After that, you can make your own pictures/videos. That is the way to go nowadays.

Its all about testing in the beginning :)

I actually don't have a niche
I have a general store
I have not yet started a store and am currently only doing research, so take this with a grain of salt; but from everything I've read it makes sense that you have to pay so much for the amount of traffic/sales you've generated because you are going a more general route. I've read consistently that narrowing down your product line and targeting more specific customer groups will generate more sales per dollar spent on advertising.
