AliExpress API Acces taking ages

Hi everyone!

I requested the API acces 3 weeks ago and it keeps on saying that will be ready in 5 working days.

Do you know more or less how long is it taking nowadays?

Your application has been submitted successfully! We are processing it now and the audication period should last 5 working days.

mine also took about 2weeks then .long time.keep waiting.but wait.I don't know of anyone still makin money from aliexpress affiliates.@moneymak25. is that working for u.got 2 sites then before google started penalizing sites with ali products and deindexed the sites.no single order for almost 7months.I had to dump the process.

if anyone still earning from it.the. share your experience and promotion strategies

I emailed them and they answered this:

Hello,
Thanks a lot for your support.
We are sorry since recently there will be some adjustment of the api key and we will take back some api key from the publishers who have broken our rules by using the api key. But you can also get the free datafeeds of affiliate products in portal and also you can use other methods in ad center to get the free affiliate links or banners of products.if you really have a lot of traffic and sales to us,then we will consider to open the api key to you.
By the way, if you would like to buy some plugin to import products,then please remind that they are all not belong to alibaba group,and we never authorised any rights to this kinds of plugins,and which will casue some miss orders,so please be careful about that.

I have experienced the same frustrating issues. You go to their portals page and they say have to wait 5 working days for "audication period".They might as well state wait 5 bloody years.IMHO I think the Aliexpress affiliate model is over since they don't intend to hand out the API keys no more.
They say some plugin makers have "abused" their API keys.Whatever. They don't seem to realize that these plugins only make AliExpress more popular and a viable model for e-commerce.They have handled this AliExpress model badly from it's origins,but like most fads online,it might be over soon.Sorry to say that.
