at:As above alexa means nothing unless your trying to rank the site high within alexa so you can sell it on.
If your trying to rank it high for sales purposes then chances are most people who may be interested in purchasing will look at other data and ask for GWM data (if a private sale) to make a comparison and see how well the site (domain name) actually performs.

Alexa totally depend on traffic. If you lost traffic then you will see downfall in alexa ranking, but why you are becoming more serious about alexa? Just focus on your keyword ranking.

Alexa? they are outdated though and it take time to actually show ranking on alexa. There server is too slow that if you have good traffic than previous alexa will show drop sometime. Best thing is to keep getting traffic and after few weeks you will see alexa ranking boosted.
Just install alexa toolbar on google chrome and run the bots?

first Alexa Rank is useless ,you need not to worry about this.But yet you are serious to get alexa rank up here is some tips which can help you.
- If you get 100 people who installed Alexa Toolbar daily then you should get a Alexa below 100,000 in the next one month.
- To get Alexa Below 50,000 you should get about 200-250 per day.
- To get Alexa Below 20,000 you need to get around 300-500 visits, who have installed Alexa toolbar.
- To get below 10,000 you need to get around 500-800 visitors per day.
- If you have about 1000-1500 visitors who installed Alexa toolbar then you can easily get your Alexa below 5000 in the next one month.

alexa is not reliable.i just confirmed ,drastic drop from m200k to million within 2weeks
