Alerted when somebody "QUOTES" you

I think this would be a great touch to the forum.

Being alerted when somebody quotes you for whatever reason!

Any people agree!?

When somebody quotes your reply in a thread then you get alerted when they do this, via email or PM.

People could be calling you names behind your back, and you'd never hear about it!

This would really come in handy.
Like me who got over 1500 posts, maybe people still asking questions. And if they QUOTE me, it should be pretty nice to get a PM about it or some popup window, to see in which thread that person did it in.

This is in IRC called for "Highlight" so if someone enter your nickname, it will automatically start blinking that channel windows.

Something simular in forum, well i have never seen such things.. But maybe can be implemented?

I think it's a somewhat good idea, and could be useful if someone is applying your information elsewhere on the forum.

But if it's to find out if someone is calling you names behind your back, then I'd have to say I disagree.

I predict a war might break loose between users XD

There are vbulletin mods that do this. It seems like whenever a new mod or hack is added though, we all have to deal with a bunch of bugs and database errors until the admins are able to get it integrated.

Here's a couple though if anyone is interested.

'The Quote Notification' hack does that but it's from before version 3.6 and isn't supported anymore so someone would have to upgrade it to work here.
