Hey guys,

In the last couple of months, I have seen and reported dozens of 100% AI replies, from standard members and even some from Jr. VIPs (a lot more since this thread https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/w...o-common-on-this-forum.1563780/#post-17333188)

I understand the use of AI for grammar fixes, but what is the point of being a discussion forum if it is constantly being flooded with these replies (most of which don't make any sense)?

Most of these replies were cleaned up by the mods, but it would be a good idea to update the General Terms and Conditions to prohibit fully AI-generated posts. This would help the mods have a clear reason for issuing warnings and serve as a reminder to the general public.

I think that it might be easier to detect a comment that was pasted rather than a comment that was written by AI. If the time of writing the comment (first character typed to posting it) exceeds a certain time per character, it can be used as another indicator (paired with others, of course) that a comment is AI written.

Threads are a bit different because I assume many of them are written on Google Docs and then pasted on the forum. That's at least how I write them.

I'm not sure I can make it much clearer @Steptoe but I'll try.
As per the post you've quoted
I also report them, but recently I've had my reports rejected and told to view this: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/w...o-common-on-this-forum.1563780/#post-17333188
Which says that AI content isn't strictly prohibited. I suppose clarification is needed.
We don't have an issue with AI content, what we don't allow is where it breaks our rules.

For example if an AI gave you a great linkbuilding idea that would be a problem? If it gave you a recipe for lardons with an affiliate link then it would be in breach of our TOS and would get a warning for spam.

Don't fear AI - do despair at poorly used AI.

To clarify, and as per my above. Where the response makes no sense, the content will be removed, and the account will be warned where it breaks one of our rules. We don't currently have a rule against the use of AI for good reason, when used correctly it can be insightful.

Our amazing moderation team allocates warnings against breaches of our TOS, whether by artificial or actual intelligence. If you stay within our terms, then the content posted is fine as long as the I (intelligence) is there. But if the content posted is against our TOS or just plain dumb, then it will be removed, and the account warned or, in some cases, banned.
