Yeah niche based. Like you target a very Micro niche topic then only it works
 
micro niche still working but not sure after latest update it will work or not
 
Google generally discourages auto blogging, i think it is applicable for micro niche too.

Instead, create high quality content based on your niche and target audience to boost SEO
 
Ai content is not allowed and state that in march 2024 spam update. Sharing research content help your website get more traffic don't use these way for money.

To be precise, mass publishing of AI content is not allowed, but in general the use of AI is allowed, as long as it doesn't look like spam.
 
If google can't detect it, you're free to do whatever you want. Nowadays, only spam is ranking on google for trending topics.

As I’ve checked and according to the 2024 core update, I’d like to inform you that auto-blogging content, which is automatically generated and posted, is generally not recommended for SEO. As per the Google’s spam policies prefer original, high-quality content. Using auto-generated content can lead to penalties or lower rankings so I want to suggest you to creating valuable, unique content for your website.

Auto blogging can help you with positive signal for SEO and google as it helps you to publish your content frequently, make sure to have content quality is valuable.
 
It depends on your niche. If you are trying to write "news" with GPT, then you have ne hope.
 
There will be window of few days, 5 to 6 days, maybe you will get some traffic, after that you will be sandboxed

You have to do it smartly to reap benefits for long term. Just copy pasting AI content on the blog is not going to give any positive result.
