Ahrefs vs Google Keyword Planner,

GKP is mainly for PPC and gives keyword volume estimates, but Ahrefs gives a lot more insight on backlinks, competitor analysis, keyword difficulty, etc.
I was expecting this answer. Yeah as far as I know. Ahrefs is still the way for SEO according to the most experts here in BHW.

Ahrefs offers more detailed and diverse data than Google Keyword Planner (GKP). While GKP is great for keyword research, Ahrefs gives insights into competitor analysis, backlink profiles, and organic search rankings. This makes it a valuable tool for understanding your competition and discovering more opportunities, which GKP alone can’t do as thoroughly. So, your buddy is likely paying for those extra features and deeper insights that Ahrefs provides.

Ahrefs is an SEO software that includes tools for link building, competitor analysis, marketing, keyword research, rank tracking, and site auditing.
Just like Google, Ahrefs has a huge database with information updated every 15-30 minutes.
With Ahrefs, you can search for any keyword and then get back all the websites that mention that keyword along with useful SEO metrics.
I use both ahref and Google analytic for web SEO

Ahrefs offers more comprehensive SEO insights, including backlink analysis and keyword difficulty, while Google Keyword Planner is ideal for basic keyword research and PPC campaigns. For detailed SEO strategies, Ahrefs is generally better, but Google Keyword Planner is free and useful for AdWords users. i hope it helps you take the decision which is fit for your purpose, Thank you!
