Ahrefs really drinking the Matt Cutt's Kool Aid this so called white hat seo and they have the nerve to bash Blackhatworld to build trust.
I don't understand the purpose of his article. He's talking about how profitable it is to sell a service and then adds in at the end "if you don't want Google's webspam team knocking on your door one day to hand you your a** on a plate then offering this kind of service isn't for you." Are you trying to warn us to not use the service, you can build these same links for cheaper, SEO services make a lot of money or not to build blackhat links? I'm lost.
Any active link building is against Google TOS. Google can hand you your ass on a plate at any given time, no matter how "white hat" your site is.
You pay for people to perform these services because you don't have the time or knowledge to do so. A lot of them are total shit, true, but that doesn't mean they all are.
