Ahrefs account used by more users

Any of you tried using an ahrefs account used by more IPs latel? Did you get banned? I've found some old threads saying both - that they did get banned or they didn't.

ahrefs has made a lot of changes and maybe it's different now.

The best way is to use portable firefox along with Lastpass addon and make sure to set private proxy and ahrefs account in it. And share the portable with users. This way users will not have to enter the ahrefs login credentials and your account will be 100% safe. #PersonalExperience

I thought Ahrefs has taken their free search feature away for quite some time already, or is it still available? Previously, they still allow you to perform small searches, and then they took that away also. Now anyone that wants to use Ahrefs must get the basic package before getting started. Or am I getting this wrong?
