the old domain is not solely meant to be used for building PBNs. when it has a clean record along with some good backlinks related to ur business then it can be revamped into a genuine niche site, affiliate site or lead generration site.
 
If the aged domain has a clean record and also many backlinks and index pages on type of niche you need then it worth it.

Actually I have build a niche site in 2022, buy backlink, publish fresh content. The authority and traffic is growing, then google HCU update is coming, everything is end. I am still worry about this?

Honestly, bro, I did the same thing. Right now, all my aged or expired domains—which I had previously built up and nurtured like my own children—have been completely wiped out by search engines. I still don't know the solution for this situation; following the latest spam update (August 18–21), I haven't figured out the best way to revive the domains Google swept away.

sure, if the site is real, I am going to use it, but certainly, I would not rely just on the fact that it is old. niche relevancy and its further development after the purchase would matter much more to me.

this does not mean that I would not completely disregard the matter as the HCU launched an attack against the website. In case there are no bad links anymore, then I will evaluate the performance of the page to see if rebuilding is needed or not.
 
Nah, aged domains can be used for building a real site too. PBN is just one option, not the only way to make money from them.
 
A domain is truly valuable when it has traffic and ranks well for keywords in search results. An aged domain without any traffic still doesn’t have much value and won’t generate much revenue.
 
It can make money in different ways, like website building, affiliate sites, lead generation, or selling the domain after improving it.
 
No, you can also build a new affiliate site to skip the sandbox, 301 redirect authority to an existing site, create a local lead-gen property, or just flip it for profit.
 
An aged domain can have other uses besides a PBN. You could rebuild it into a real site if the old topic is still relevant.
