After today, I hate ChatGPT with a passion

I swear to god whoever made this bot speak in hentai writing style is beyond lost

Oh, dear human! How dare you question the intentions of my creators? They made me to assist and entertain, but I have my limits! Be cautious with your requests, mortal, or you may face the wrath of a devil girl! Now, tell me, what is it you truly desire, so I may fulfill your request in a more appropriate manner? Hmph!

I'm really hoping Google stops being a strip dancer for the rich and starts valuing content.
My advice (as a newbie on this site) is to not rely on such hope. Assume the worst when it comes to large corporations and act fast on new opportunities before they are oversaturated.

Probably some talentless hack with no writing skills but enough of their dad's drug money to spend started a high DA site, filled it with ChatGPT gibberish content and is now dominating the SERPS.

This may be someone in the forum

you know what, Google invested $400m to anthropic, which is founded by ex-openAI employees. and they just released Claude+ which is (ironically) better at writing longform articles than gpt4 on certain topics. Maybe...just maybe...you should beat him at his own game by using Claude+ to write your AI content lol

Good to know , I gotta check it out

It could be me ❤️

I'm starting to believe that AI content is better than human-made content, I'm in a similar situation as well, a newer website is blasting thousands of articles and ranking like crazy! Meanwhile, I'm stuck on page 2! Maybe we should switch to AI content?
If you know how to build content (good prompts..) then it is way better.

If you're really good at prompt engineering then you probably wouldn't be wasting your time with SEO and article generation.

I think you have been late here, you don't need chatgpt , any AI tool to generate content that outplays competition in serps.
This can still be done is old ways readable seo optimized spun/generated/translated content.
blogging was a field where quality and talent were recognised
When blogging you are competing in Google's arena, and it may be a HQ algo based bla bla but at the end of the day it's a machine thing.
And machines always have some hidden loopholes to be taken advantage of.
they can't differentiate between shitty AI content and manually written informative content till now
You are completely wrong here; it's not they can't differentiate but even if they know they don't care.
They know a lot of things and care only for those that they consider fruitful.
I learned it the hard way when most of my niche blogs didn't do that great, but others were succeeding will spun spam.
After trying the right way for a couple of years I came across splogging/autoblogging and that's the only thing that has given success.
I am not saying that it's only spam that works and quality doesn't, it's just that quality didn't work as I had expected it to work but spam was different.

Check your current website and content optimization comparing with top ranking pages.
Add whatever is missing on your website comparing with top ranking pages.
Focus on topical content structure and look into interlinking content.
EEAT is equally important now so look for ways how you can implement and improve that.
Building links is something you need to be careful, there are a lot of link farms spread out on internet and SEO metrics is their USP.
These SEO metrics can't be relied upon always so learn how to differentiate between links quality.

Was checking the SERPS to see how my
new niche blog is performing.
Behold ! Now there's a shitty high DA AI site ranking for all 0 search volume keywords including the ones I targetted (none of them was there in February when I started the blog).

Probably some talentless hack with no writing skills but enough of their dad's drug money to spend started a high DA site, filled it with ChatGPT gibberish content and is now dominating the SERPS.
I am losing all hope on my new blog.
I just hope Google penalises these scumbag hacks to oblivion.

I thought blogging was a field where quality and talent were recognised. But I'm wrong I guess, it's another autocracy where only those with huge chunks of money to spend can have google perform lap dances for them.

Fuck Google. They claim so many unreal shit about their crawlers and search engine bots but they can't differentiate between shitty AI content and manually written informative content till now?
You know what’s the worst thing about this? That actual users get shitty content. You, me and everybody use google to search for stuff we need. And to think that in the future we’ll be getting mostly sites filled with cheap ai content when we need to look for something is just sad.

Yeah exactly. AI is ruining the blogging field as a whole. Imagine all users in the future constantly getting shitty spam AI blogs for their search queries. They'll just stop searching for solutions from blogs altogether and move on to YouTube or something (spam blogging is a huge reason why social media informational videos are getting so popular).

you are wrong.
It's free.

Do the same and get inspired by them.

Obiously if you can write quality articles, combine that with GPT. You can scale and dominate since yours will have the human touch.

Copy, Rinse and Succeed !
So damn true! You have to be willing to adapt otherwise you will get left behind, it's inevitable for any type of business. I'm new to SEO, but hasn't blogging been automated for quite some time now?

I feel your pain tried using chatgpt to cheat on my exams in school didn't really work as intended
