Affiliate website - use wordpress or code it from scratch?

At the end of of the day, an affiliate marketing website should be to make money and spending a month of work fine tuning a custom solution would be a waste of time (which is money) if you're not already generating revenue and have a clear need for custom stuff that can't be done through WP.

Think about opportunity cost, what's the $ amount of a month of your work. Is it less than $100-$200 in plugins? Probably not. Focus on making money, spend time programming custom stuff only if you actually need it.
