Adwords Average CPC Doubled Overnight..

Hey guys,
My adwords average cpc doubled overnight, which is crazy. I'm thinking it is because new competition came in. Any suggestions? I don't want the cpc's to increase so dramatically again especially since my quality score is 10/10... Will be contacting adwords on Monday.
What do you think is going on?

Just wanted to mention that average all time cpc for this campaign is $0.16

Yup. Im assuming its the competition outbidding you on keyword. But since your quality score is perfect, competitor probably paying more and he might disappear because of his high cpc overtime.
My suggestion is just to wait a few days for now.

Dirt biding war OP. Normal if you are running a campaign for gd amount of time.

Yes that's what I'm going to do, wait for the comp budget to run out and then increase my bid

Yeah increasing bid to OPTIMAL amount can discourage some competitor.

For optimal I'd have to increase bids to a 1:1 spend/profit ratio lol. This might be a good idea to ween out anybody that isn't converting as high as I am, your thoughts?

PPCall?

Why don't you see who the other competitor is? Tools like Spyfu are good for this.

Yeah run it that way for now and see if he goes away.

You don't need spyfu to see the competitor (unles you want to see competitor's keywords., theres adwords auction and you can see the advertisers on ad preview and diagnosis.

and this campaign is Form fill not PPCall

CPC depends on mainly how much others are willing to pay for that click. Different niches have different cpcs. For low cpcs you need high keyword volume, a perfect 10/10 quality score and a max budget.

$1 per click could be really cheap if your niche has to do with high value customers but since you're asking for help i'm thinking this isnt the case. Get your landing page optimized for what google wants. Any more help feel free to PM me

Agreed, if you are in a good little niche long enough you'll see somebody come around and try to compete with you. Hopefully they have a worse QS and can be bled out via gladiatorial bidding over time.

Its that time of the year. You just gotta wait it out if you can't handle the price competition. Large companies with large budgets are dumping money before the year ends this will continue to around the 14th of Jan.

For me, this is normal as always, anyway it is always can be changed increase or decrease.
