Does anyone have an e-commerce website that relies on Adwords for traffic?

In my experience it seems that in every niche the amount spent on adwords always equals the cost of product, so most campaigns I have run for various niches using dropshipping just seem to break even!!

Yeah, well that's because you don't own stock and there are many people aiming for the same keywords. If you buy in bulk you'll be able to make a profit.

adwords PLA's and ecommerce drop shipping does very well for me and has for several years now. i would suggest doing some more testing on your ads and work to get the cost down.

Breaking even is a great thing because you covered your customer acquisition cost. When they buy again, all of that is direct traffic and profit.

Fyi, adwords will make some changes to PLA in a few months. It will require GTINs from all shopping advertisers starting May 16th.

adwords works good for e-commerce but it all depends what product you have on your site.

It does not work like that.

People that google for products will google next time they need a product. They will probably not just use you again.

Researching & finding products online are time consuming. Furthermore, there's always a risk involved in trying new online retailers. That's why a lot of buyers eventually become repeat customers if they like what they've bought the first time.
Just like you said, they "probably" not just use you again. But some will and that is what matters.

i would stay away from text myself. been there and done that, it didn't work nearly as well as a shopping feed through the merchant center. when you get your shopping feed up and running i would recommend getting in touch with your google account strategist.

i have had long phone call conversations with several of them. they typically are reassigned quarterly to new accounts. some are better than others but if you are new to the merchant center they could definitely teach you a few things.

As Fishkin showed, if you put in the effort to understand marketing and do something about it instead of just letting things run, great things can happen.

I love the fact that I can troll and get 5 "thanks"

But I add a seriously helpful $$$$$$ making post, and I get nothing.

I'll just go back to trolling people. Fuck this helpful bullshit.
I especially like that OP gave you the old "Thank you for this post" instead. I gave you one, not out of pity, but I'll have it saved now for later when I tread this path. That's a lot of effort for a reply on any subject!
