HI there everyone,I have a website with a pr0 and am building links and want to get it to pr7-8.

    So my questions are:
1.would building enough backlinks be enough to get my site ranked for pr-7 or 8 by google? I'm using scrapbox.

2.If i have linked enough links to qualify for a page rank and my site now is pr0,would google rank my site from Pr0 to pr8 on the next update(whenever that is ;)....or would they increase my site's pagerank step by step like pr 3, pr 4 etc etc

    Thanks alot

I believe PR is not only achieved through backlinks, but you'd need high quality backlinks in conjuction with relevant on-page content - that's of course, quality content as well.

Also, I wouldn't waste my energy and resources on improving my site's PR. Nowadays, it's fairly easy to outrank sites with a higher PR than yours. This is true even if your PR is 0. I can speak this from experience on my own sites. Focus on improving the quality of your sites and do your best to be useful to your audience. Together with a good backlinking strategy, you'll find that your desired PR will come to you over time.
