I have a pay subscriber adult erotic website launching soon and have been looking for an affiliate management program. Years ago there seemed to be many to choose from but now the only one I can find is Crakrevenue. Unfortunately they are not accepting any new advertisers right now.

Do you guys know any other options out there? It seems like all the porn sites these days, even the small ones like mine, set up their own affiliate programs. Is that the way to go? I'm a bit hesitant just because it may be too much for me and my partner to manage on our own right now.

What do you guys suggest?

If all of the smaller ones are using their own program, there is a reason. So, yes, I would recommend if you really want to set up an affiliate program, just run it yourself. I don't think it will be very popular. The niche is so small.

How many affiliates will really be promoting it? 5? 10? If it becomes popular, you can hire another person to help manage it. But I think it will remain very small.

You can even just only approve "serious" affiliates who show you their websites or whatever where they will be promoting your site, and remove people who are inactive for even a few days. Keep it small and have a close relationship with the affiliates and if they deliver give them a big bonus to keep them happy.

It's bad for your good affiliates if you accept 500 spammers into the program, so the best benefit for everyone is only approve very very serious and professional affiliates.

Just some thoughts.

Ok, good to know. Are there any good tools to set up an affiliate program on my own.. things that help with tracking and payouts? Or is it better to just do things manually considering how small it's gonna be.

that's weird jerkmate came out like a week or two ago. on crakrev this is not an easy task. have you setup or planned billing??

I just got an email from Crakrevenue that they weren't taking on new members.. maybe they just thought we were too small to deal with.

I'm planning to set up my own little affiliate program and just look for a few good people to promote the site. We are small, but we get really good conversion and very little churn so I think it can be a nice opportunity to grow...
