Adsense cuts only for invalid traffic and content. You can check that under "Payment" > "Transaction".

You need to analyze your traffic (source, bounce rate, avg. time spent on the page) after you understand your traffic you will find the issue why google has deducted a lot of your earnings.
I suggest you also to use hotjar.com to fully see how your traffic is clicking on the ads and what the visitors are doing on your website (what is causing your "Invalid traffic").

Firefox (A popular Web browser) updated their browser about a month ago to where by default advertisements/tracking codes are automatically blocked.. This may have caused a noticeable decrease in impressions/clicks.
