I'm just waiting to get paid. In the first thread I had been paid $700 of the balance via paypal, so I just assumed the $2,200 would be paid soon. I feel sorry for causing problems for the network

There is a 10 day gap between 3/29 and 4/10 for two logs which is the two-week gap fuseleer is talking about. I had ceased communication for those days because I was waiting for the wire so I didn't want to bother him anymore.

His last post, right above here, some is for another wire, which he got, just to clear that up.

Btw I didnt say it was all his fault, its the fault of many, including his, banks, mine even for not persisting and checking up. But you would imagine that if someone didnt get payment for over 2 weeks, when he had got one previous, he would of contacted me sooner to tell me about it.

This will get resolved as soon as is possible, and gets my daily attention, and I would appreciate the OP confirming in this thread when it is.

Banks suck at wires often.

Oxonbeef talked about the 21K he is waiting on... I sent a sum similar from the US to the Middle East... he never got it and it is not back in my account either and it was sent from a large bank here in the US.

That has been 3+ weeks now.

This seems to be a season afflicted with bad wires.

Well it is a very efficient system and I used to do a lot more per day than anything mentioned in this thread. You have to remember the standard guy in your branch is the lowest level employee in the bank .. So what he may tell you is just what he was told to say not what actually happened .. Since he doesn't know anyway.

The main thing is seems like this will be sorted out ASAP... Which is good to see.

In my opinion he certainly is... there has been a lot of money floating about that nobody claims to have and I worked to earn it.

Just to add to this:

I have worked in a bank and have handled these remittances among other things.

When these remittances go wrong and they do go wrong ( even though SWIFT is such a simple system to work with ) - the bank which has received this money is supposed to return the money.
Till they return the money, nothing would be done unless you threaten to escalate the complaint to the banking regulator - then the bank would pay you out of their own pocket and wait to get the money wrongly sent ( presuming the details you provided to the bank were absolutely correct )

What also happens is that the guys at the receiving bank branch have sometimes no idea ( different banks have different rules to handle forex remittances ) on how to apply the funds and the funds just sit idle at the central treasury branch.

To quote an actual example - once a colombian or chinese company had wrongly remitted around $46000 to our bank.
None of the branches claimed it but we did not return the money as returning wrongly usually causes more problems ( normally the remitting bank would send a message through SWIFT that they have sent the remittance wrongly and it should be reversed but it didn't happen in this case)

After a month or so, we received a call from the bank of the company that these funds were wrongly remitted and should be sent back and then we remitted them back.

It's been one week since I created this thread and I'm still wating for updates from Dan about the payment.

to me this looks a lot better than the ad networks i've dealt with in the past. They need chasing every month. I know your following this up one week on but surely both sides could find a routing number for the wire and ask the respective banks to chase?

He's not denying he owes me money, but he's not paying up which is just as bad. Yea I've already waited almost 2 months. I get the impression they are blowing me off because dan told me 2 days ago he would pay $1000 by paypal immediately and still nothing.

Burden of proof is not on me at all, if you want to resolve it quick, provide the proof I asked and it is resolved!

His bank would know if it was claimed... took my bank (and that bank is terrible) less than 24 hours to find a wire that I sent was not accepted by the receiving bank. It took them 3 weeks to get that money back for me too but I knew where it was at all times because we kept in contact with our bank daily.

Seems to me the OP has every right to be a little annoyed, no matter if it is the banks problem its been 2 months since he should have got paid. The owners should have resolved this long ago. In the UK if you just go into a branch with your problem it will get solved if you WANT it to. Doesn't seem like that to me.

Also if I was owed this much money I'd atleast want constant updates and communication.

I shall reply to this thread once more. Here's the simple break down....

OP didnt tell me he hadnt got the wire for 3 weeks. I chased it, and was told it may take some time by the bank. Few days later he requested that I stop the wire when it had been located, and send him by paypal. Back to bank, request that wire be returned to me. Told OP I was going to wait until it was returned, which considering the length of time it took him to tell me, and the fact that there are so many shady people around, I think is understandable and acceptable.

2 weeks pass, constant chasing, bank is telling me that wire is "cleared" I ask them for a recall, which again takes time and also makes me now suspicious that OP has had it and trying to get another 2k+

I offered him the option to send me a photo or scan of his bank statements for that account, he can cover balances and amounts, from the account I sent the wire to. I will be able to see that the wire hasnt cleared to him if true and would send him the balance immediatley and resolve this with the wire between me and the bank in due course. He refused and made further threats that I send him another 2k!

It would take 10 mins tops to do what I asked, and send me the simple proof I wanted for my own piece of mind. Ive had people do this before, claim that money wasnt received when it was, and I wanted to make sure, which I am within my right to do.

it looks like dan is full of crap as I suspected
I asked him for the wire number so I can see if it confers with my bank records and he's ignoring me on skype.

If I were you and I was owed $2200 - and the rep of the company says send me a scan of the bank account - so I can see the money hasn't hit your account ..... I would do it in 5 minutes.

As then if he doesn't honor his word to pay you upon receipt - his company would become worth $0.00

So you have every reason to do this ASAP and resolve this and get your money.... I hope you do.

Just go to your bank and do a simple wire trace. It would tell you whether the money is there or not. BassTrackerBoats stated this in an earlier post. No one is going to show someone their bank records unless they are asked for them. No one sees my bank account not because I'm shady, but it's personal, and unless the IRS is banging on my door demanding to see them, then there is no need.

That's why they have wire transfer numbers. If you have the confirmation number, give it to the guy. Then you can both go looking and tracing it.

Not to be a jackal, but it seems that you are stalling and you don't have the money to cover the OP. If that's the case, just tell him that. Instead of all the nonsense that's making you look like you are coming up with excuses.

I'll have to agree, I'd never show my personal bank records to anyone unless it was the IRS or needed in some kind of investigation by the authorities.
I have nothing to hide, it's just that this kind of situation doesn't require that kind of privacy invasion.
Let's also not forget that it is far too easy to change up a bank statement photo with Photoshop, so that wouldn't prove much anyway.

I'd also agree that the wire transfer number should be good enough to track this and get it all sorted.
