Adding Watermark To Images?

Hi all,

question that has come accross the mind today when reviewing some of my competition for the blog website...

I usually just go find image related to article with right dimension and use just raw like this.

Would it be beneficial from an SEO perspective to add a watermark in the bottom right corner or somewhere to alter the image?

I wonder if google sees these images and sees they are just copied...

If any advice on the affect this could have on SEO i would be curious

It is good for promotion. Some will copy images and it will be free promotion for your blog.
