im tired of link building. im starting to think its a terrible roi. and of course its risky. it wrk but i just wonder : most of us who build quality links also do everything else related to ranking. i wonder if its that 'everything else'thats really responsible for progress in serps.

ranking seems to be mainly about domain age, on site seo, number of unique pages indexed, traffic, bounce rate n other user metrics, and of course authority, whatever that is.

my question is: has anybody tried to rank by adding 500 wrds new content every sinlge day. doing that, only that and nothing else? how did this affect serps? im doubtful it woud have much affect. just wondering.

If you are aiming for low keywords, you can rank even without doing a lot of link-building, but without link building at all, I doubt that you will rank anywhere in top 5 google pages...
If you aim for medium and high keywords, forget it, if you don't do right SEO you can't rank anywhere.

adding high quality content will work, but it really depends on the keyword, yes, you may also need to build backlink if you want to rank competitive keyword, you can also hire some SEO teams to do this for you

here i have about 300 niche rel qual links, 100 indexed pages, tegular content, blog net of sites similar to my niche.

fucking hopeless. hate yelp, google and blowing money in vain on links which will soon enuff penal me. waaaa i know. better off running my aw campaign n sending my seo buget on blow

I've done that, with a slightly different word count/article count per day, but the results are great. Content helps you get more authority, among other things.

The sites like Yelp have a lot of domain authority - Google considers the domain to be a high quality domain and will therefore rank those sites higher even if they have less links.

A goal of a lot of marketers should be to create their own authority sites, and lots of content is a big part of that - but so is building links.

If you don't want to do manual link building then create content that people will want to share/link to, then the hard work is done for you. It's worth promoting yourself on social networks, though, to help speed the process along.
