Hello, I am considering setting up a subscription site how will I accept credit cards like a real enterprise, instead of just paypal. Paypal has so many fees, but I don't know if other credit card processors are more competitive. Thanks
Mostly all methods of on-line payments websites take their fees for using der services. Google Checkout, pppay Also why don't you get a mobile terminal from your bank, they charge you a fee for accepting payments and using the mobile terminal though. But the good thing is the money goes straight into your account and you are in charge of everything. And another good point is you can carry it anywhere and accept payments through the phone, online just by simply using a debit or credit card.
a mobile terminal??? what is that can you elaborate? this would be an online only thing so I don't need any hardware the business entity has a bank accounts, so how would I continue?
Ive heard Plimus is terrible. People accusing it of fraud and terminating their accounts for no reason. Would Clickbank also work, or are the fees high as well?
I loved Plimus and still use them but am getting more and more frusterated. Not only did the drop PayPal as a payment option (PPs fault not theirs) but recently their newsletter system got all screwed up. I called and talked to them, they said "oh we didn't even notice, who knows when it will get fixed thanks". A week later and I'm having to manually pull my e-mail lists from sales reports still to get people their software updates... Fraud? No, they always pay and pay on time. Worse and worse service? Definitely.
I sell software, multiple programs. I have sold both services and ebooks as well in the past. Like I said if it wasn't for them dropping PP and this week's mailing list blunder they have been 100% legitimate to me AND at least I can always get someone on the phone quickly who speaks fluent English and you can tell is in the office, unlike trying PayPal's nonexistant customer support - even if they couldn't get my newsletters out. I still would take them over PayPal any day of the week (also for cheaper items there is not that base $0.35 charge as PP has + %age its just %age so items under $20 the rate is better and is pretty close up to around $30 I believe it is).
wowhaxor, So Plimus is good on payment? What kind of services do you offer? I also looking for Plimus to become my payment processor.
Use stripe.com to process your credit card payments; it's easy, and you don't have to go through any application process so you can process CC's instantly. Otherwise, authorize.net is also a good choice.
I have used CCbill for years. Never worry about getting paid but like the others, they always get their cut.
I remember nochex for years ago on ebay, before they bought paypal. Didnt know they where still going, i'll check them out.
Is there any good Merchant acount for online payment out there? I have seen some but cant decide and I would like some opinions about a good merchant acount Thanks
