Acc verify

Before, I could just enter an email, create a username and password, and I'd get a verify email right away and earn the achieve.

Now, after entering email, reddit immediately asks me to verify the acc, but I don’t get achieve. I have to go into settings, re-enter my email (feels more like replacing it), and then I get a verify email and achieve.

Without this achieve, my accs can’t even join to subs. But weirdly, just last month I had accs without this achieve, and I could still comment without getting banned. Now, no matter what I try, I can’t create accs like that anymore.

Is verify really necessary? I tried to make everything look "natural," like I’m a real person new to reddit, but how many new users would think to dig into settings to "replace" their email just to get verified? Isn’t that a bit sus?

What do you mean by achieve? You mean email verified status?

Anyways, an account being email verified or not makes little or no difference. I have seen huge authoritative accounts doing fine without having the verified status. More than this, Reddit is a platform where some people needs stay anonymous, so verifying with a real email makes no sense for those.

Yeah, Reddit's been tightening up their verification processes lately, probably to crack down on bots and fake accounts. It’s annoying, but it seems like that verification step is becoming unavoidable if you want to fully use your accounts.
I’ve noticed the same thing, you can’t even join subs or engage properly without that achievement now. Making it look ‘natural’ helps a bit, but Reddit’s system is definitely getting more aggressive with flagging unverified accounts.

If you're farming accounts, maybe test different proxies or device setups to see if it affects the verification flow. Also, try using phone verification on some accounts, it might make them appear more legit and save you some hassle in the long run.
