About smoking!!!

I haven't used nicotine patches, just a self motivation... If you want to quit we can do it together.. We can update here in this thread like once a week or so. What do toy think? I can share what exactly I did 40 days which makes me successful. But I'm a failure now lol
once stopped for over 3 month went out with some friends to chill they where all smoking. well i made a mistake of asking for one cig that got me hooked again.

You would have to be an absolute beast to stick to smoking 4-5 a month. Just quit altogether, it does too much bad for you anyways to be contemplating this.
that mentality doesn't scare smokers the health factors almost never makes someone stop smoking. people will end up subconsciously believing i could get hit by a bus.

I stopped smoking on January 20th this year, and I'm going strong every day in. Now, I know it's not a long period but I never felt the need to smoke again. There's two things that kept me going and helped me maintain this:

1. Don't lie to yourself - One cigarrete is going to lead to more and you know it. You've broken this rule so now restart, set a new rule and stay away from cigarretes. Not even one puff is allowed.

2. The key to breaking bad habits is quitting over and over again. I've read this in a book last year and it's so true (the book is not about quitting smoking, but overall changing habits), I used to smoke a pack a day and lay in my bed at night thinking how much I hate myself for smoking and just breaking my health. I stopped dozens of times, until it finally worked. The best advice I can give you is stop EVERY day if you need to, just set your eyes on the goal. Eventually, you will be very strong in controlling yourself.

Best of luck man!

Yea thats true, as long as you're coming from the mindset that they make you feel amazing, but you should give them up because you might die of cancer, you'll never make it. You have to realize they make you stimulated in a dirty way, reduce your productivity, make you lazy, etc. For me, nicotine makes me very scatter-brained, overly stimulated, my hands and feed become colder and I'm all over the place, I'm always at my best nicotine-free. I need less sleep and nothing can make me overly anxious. I have way less negative thoughts.

@alexa_s @Maticzilla @nmehic Thank you all... I broke my streak and I've to rebuilt everything from the beginning again.

@nmehic I don't know when I'll broke my new streak again but I won't stop starting from the beginning again and again and again.... Thanks man

Sorry for another post in a row but I really need to get this off my chest because it's something that I really struggled with and improved in over the years.

The majority of people start smoking becuase of the influence of friends. To be fully honest with you, I started smoking at the same time as all of my friends and we had a hell of a time as teenagers, hiding it from our parents, playing cool around other people and just thought we were invincible becuause we did something that was considered bad.

We are social beings and anything that grabs the attention of other people is so damn appealing to us. This also goes for alcohol and drugs, with the addition of being in a state of altered mind with those, unlike with cigarretes.

As I grew older I realized that smoking is not cool and isn't something that's necessarily going to make you stand out. As you meet more people, begin to be good at networking and socialising, you realise that absolutely no valuable friendships or relationships in your life were influenced by some of your addictions, in other words, people don't respect you just because you do the same thing as they do - smoke.

On the other side, some people may look down at you or stay away from you because you smoke - as you smell really bad and affect their health with passive smoking.

Try to look at smoking as an overall habit and what message you send to other people when smoking your ciggie around them. Do you really need to do it? Do you want to smoke? Does it make you happy or give you any type of benefit?

Maybe this gives you a wider perspective because it sure did make me focus on quitting. I know it's hard but if you commit, you can definitely be successful at it in the end.

I quit smoking 4 months back and I know I will never smoke again. If you know the basic science behind smoking you won't start again,

Please Please read this book: Easy Way To Stop Smoking By Alenn carr

@Beerioz you can't do it by yourself just like that, the genius that invented that shit made sure you will not have the will-power to quit that habit...
i smoked for 25 years (non-stop) and i managed to quit 11 years ago, just after reading a book called:
The Easy Way to Stop Smoking By: Allen Carr

i'm not sure how they did it, but after i finished the book i took my last one and never missed smoking...
good luck!

I noticed , when you happen got backache or get injury carry weights . Affect the back till you can't sleep well etc does make u don't feel like smoking much.

Well, smoking does release cheap dopamine; so they are kind of right. It's true for any other addiction as well (oh, even sex lol). Great that you could get rid of this nasty addiction.
The only addiction that I want is taking action lol

Strange but is it true that passive smoking is more dangerous?

Hello Guys, I haven't smoke like 40 days (used to smoke 6-7 cigarette a day) and finally today I decided to smoke and I had 4. I've searched about ocassionaly smoking and I found odd results in quora and reddit so decided to ask here, is anyone ever tried quiting it and smoke like 4-5 a month or two?

I really feel guilty at the same time wants to smoke atleast once a month while partying.. Any solutions?

Pls non smokers avoid your comments only smokers can understand how it feels...

This is what's happening to me right now. Hadn't smoked in 30 days, smoked 7 Marlboro this friday. Don't plan on smoking today or the rest of the week. I feel guilty every time, no way around it.

Good guy
Use this idea it works
Do not smoke at all.
Stay busy.
Drink more water and juice.
Avoid individuals who are smoking.
Avoid situations wherein you have a strong urge to smoke
