Hello guys,

just a quick question I am wondering if I backorder a domain that is on redemption period would I get this domain after this period is done and will domain lose its age?

Appreciate any help!

Thanks!

usually if its on backorder that is just putting an order in case the real domain owner doesn't renew it. Now some may already be expired and still in redemption. So depending on the vendor you are using some don't take the funds until they fill that order. Other will go ahead and charge you for that backorder. Then if they can't fill it will refund at some point in time. I would check with them on terms.

Age of the domain is bullshit. Please really, stop reading guru crap. I have no idea where you people get this info from. What matters is the age of the content itself and how long has it been in index. If this content is already deindexed or if you are not planning to rebuild the website to its previous form, then it doesn't matter whether the domain was first registered 15 or 2 years ago.

If you put a domain on backorder, it doesn't mean that it will even get dropped in the first place. If it's in the redemption period, then it still might be renewed. And even if you backorder it, depends on whom you backorder it from, they may not catch it at all, which means that your backorder will happen maybe a year later or never.

Hey guys,

Thanks a lot for the info, and about age I am just wondering what happens to it, because domain age still important to avoid Google Sandbox, but, I am interested on the name of this domain and never happened to me that for some reason the guy who bought this domain had some issue with payment and his order gets cancel and domain is put on redemption period, so, by backordering I should get it right?

Thanks!

OP these is only 1% chance you are going to get domains on back-order if it got good backlinks and other qualities.
