(I hope im ok with the rules)

There is something I would like to note about mods. They seem quite cool guys.

I feel something mysterious on them. They are registered on this forum for years and they approve all these marketing threads. I can't imagine what they have seen. Their experience in SEO and marketing generally.

And of course the owner of this place. What a brain. He created this website at the perfect timing! Back then in 2006.

I would pay to read an interview of all members of the Administrating/Moderating Team.

What's your opinion guys?

Yeah, they have to have a very big patience with some of the members, and I appreciate every MOD that takes care of this forum.
 
I agree - I could only imagine the amount of connections and things they've read.
I would love to ask questions as well.

All the reason for you to attend the next Ungagged BHW event. Youll be able to meet the legendary @Diamond Damien himself as well as a few of the other marketplace mods on this forum.

I have attended each year since its first inception and each time it has been an awesome learning experience and networking event as well.

@Geasy did an interview series with a bunch of the Execs and other members, well worth a read.

Also, the mods deal with so much crap, it is unbelievable. I threw my hat in the ring 6 months back, but I can honestly tell you that I could not do it today, the time they invest in:
  • filtering out the spam
  • ensuring shitlist disputes are refereed and resolved
  • sales threads are properly checked out and verified
  • monitoring sales threads to make sure they continue to live up to QA
  • resolving conflicts from the general human detritus, a.k.a. idiots (trying to remain polite), who pop up
  • tidy up posts, so they are readable
  • ensure members adhere to the forum rules
  • help us not get ripped off by obvious and not so obvious scam 'methods'
  • investigation and banning of false member accounts to manipulate sales threads
  • etc, etc, etc
The list is endless, and whats more, THEY DO IT FOR FREE.

How do they have the time? How do they make a living? I honestly have no idea, but I am grateful.

They are also not above the law themselves and they are accountable if they overstep the line, @BigBuddy is a great example of how this forum/business holds everyone accountable for their actions.

Please don't stop.

Search and you will find. Suffice to say, being 'a dick' does not go well in any walk of life.

Better to focus on the positives though. For example, how @MisterF and @BassTrackerBoats have any sanity left at all, after moderating the Shitlist, is beyond me. Not sure how to recommend them for an MBE for this work, but if anyone deserves one, it is the mods of the Shitlist.

I worked in a global business and got one of those Strikeman body punch bags for my office. I thought it was better to come off a conference call and punch that, than say how I really felt, or walk out the room and punch a colleague.

There is not a Strikeman big enough for me to moderate the Shitlist forum, I would have an aneurysm on the first day.

It is possible that I have some anger management issues I am working through :D But then again, I simply read the Shitlist for a laugh these days. Pure insanity, and MrF and Bass moderate it for FREE :eek:

Yes, @BassTrackerBoats Uncle works very hard to settle shitlist disputes.
 
I think Mods should be paid for the amount of work that they do.
