Even if the site is dead and the content is no longer published, the original owner still owns the copyrights for those materials. Not telling what to do (or what not to do), just making sure you are aware of it.

i don't think you can have ownership of some text. if that's the case, use it till google reindexes the site and then rewrite it.

Build the PBN with new content. If you want to restore the content, you can do that however check the content again for plagiarism.

Yes, you can do. I recommend restoring its archive and then inserting links in the homepage. You can use a service like archiverix.
