it's always better to restore the old site if possible. use archive to get the old site's data and restore it. after some time, create your posts and link out to your main site.

Even if the site is dead and the content is no longer published, the original owner still owns the copyrights for those materials. Not telling what to do (or what not to do), just making sure you are aware of it.

i don't think you can have ownership of some text. if that's the case, use it till google reindexes the site and then rewrite it.

Build the PBN with new content. If you want to restore the content, you can do that however check the content again for plagiarism.
