One question, can I 301 redirect an expired domain name for women's yoga clothing to a category page for men's bomber jackets? Are their niches related?

the niches are related (they're both about clothing), but why on Earth would it re-direct it to a category?? I think this will scream "hey look, I'm a link builder" to google, so it might bite you in the ass eventually

Before, I redirected the expired domain name 301 to the acquisition page of the niche website, but it didn’t achieve the expected effect, the ranking and traffic have not changed at all.
So I want to try and 301 redirect them to the product category page.

How did you do that? Pm me your details to talk because I am starting something similar with some expensive domains.

301 the expired domain directly to the acquisition page of the niche site, then place an internal link to the ranking keyword (ranking page) on the acquisition page

I don't know what you expected from a single 301 (unless the domain is very good it won't have a strong impact IMO.)

But I still think you shouldn't redirect to a single page, it looks shady as fuck

I will give it a try. If the expected effect is not achieved within two months, the 301 redirection will be cancelled.

If you are ready for trial then you can go with that, as the category falls under one niche.

IMO the niches are related and the redirected domain will count as one link. Don't expect much boost from it though, but you might speed up getting indexed. Not much benefit aside from that.

Hi,
Both are under the same Niche like Clothing/Fashion .
you can consider the following steps to handle the indexed pages:
1. Remove unnecessary pages: If the pages have no value, it's best to remove them completely.
2. Redirect to a relevant page: If there is a relevant page on your website that the content can be redirected to, it's better to redirect to that page instead of the homepage.
3. No index, Follow: If the pages are not valuable and can't be redirected to a relevant page, you can use the "no index, follow" meta tag to prevent them from being indexed by search engines. This allows the links to still pass link equity to the rest of your site.
4. Canonicalize: If you have similar pages, you can use the canonical tag to indicate the preferred version
of the page to be indexed.

At the same time, try to place a few more PBN links that 100% match the anchor text for this category page.

I've just written a post somewhere else about it. Build a landing page that funnels viewers (and Google) to your site. Start with writing about you as a woman - that you enjoy yoga and are passionate about feeling good in what you wear - in the next paragraph, show how women's clothes differ from men's. How hard it is to take a man shopping with you (as a woman). How your boyfriend enjoyed the bomber jacket you bought for him recently and how much you recommend it. You get the gist of it.
