Hello everyone, I have a question about running Google Ads — I’d really appreciate your advice.
I’m a motorcycle sales representative in California, and I have a website about motorcycles. I want to run a Google Ads campaign.
I’ve noticed that my competitors run their ads very cleverly. For example, when I search for the keyword “Honda motorcycle prices,” their ads don’t show up. But if I search “Honda motorcycle prices in California,” their ads appear. Similarly, if I search “CB150 price,” nothing shows — but when I type “CB150 price in California,” their ads appear.
However, when I add location-based keywords like that to my own campaign, the search volume is very low, and the ads don’t get triggered.
So, how are they doing it? How do they make their ads appear only when the search query includes the location?
